A Marriott Classic

Marriott Theatre welcomes back an old favorite, as Sleeping Beauty returns for its third run. Written by Marc Robins, this musical re-telling borrows elements from the Disney movie and the Brothers Grimm original, while also bringing the story up to date. Sleeping Beauty is no damsel in distress in this version, she's a capable tomboy, while the prince is a bit of a clutz who must discover his inner hero! Add evil sorceress Magenta, the three kindly fairy godmothers Periwinkle, Ruby and Marigol, and Princess' hilarious best friend to the mix and you have a perfect family adventure.

Marriott Theatre's Sleeping Beauty encourages plenty of audience participation, and each show is followed by a Q&A with the cast and creative, who will happily talk about the theatrical magic that goes into making the show, as well as any plot points that young audience members didn't fully understand.
